The Plan

    On arrival

Your transfer awaits at the airport in Marrakech. You'll then head to your hotel or Riad in the heart of the Medina and can spend the afternoon exploring Marrakech.

  • 2
    AM

Your transfer will take you from Marrakech to the pretty Imlil Valley at the foothills of Mount Toubkal where you'll get acquainted with your mountain bike and start your 38km cycle with a climb. At the top of the pass (2300m) you'll break for sweet mint tea and biscuits before heading for the first real singletrack through the traditional villages of Tacheddirt, Tamguist and Amssakrou. After a couple of hours on this track you'll reach the riverbed for lunch. Then you're on to a short climb which turns into an exhilarating single track descent at the end of which we stop at Imi Oughlad where you spend the night.

  • 3
    AM

Cycling 32km today, from Imi Oughlad you'll dive straight into a climb heading to the second mountain pass of the week. The climb is optional, so take the lift if you'd rather save your energies for the rest of the day. Then you'll be onto a single track which will end at a local shop where you can pause for a coke and cake before setting off again on the next hill climb. At the top of this climb you'll drop into a short section of very technical single track and cycle down to Gite where you'll be staying for the night and have lunch. Enjoy the rest of the evening visiting the area and its impressive landscapes.

You'll stop for lunch and a fresh mint tea in a secluded wood at the riverbed. After lunch you'll cross a large dam to find the entrance to yet another incredible ribbon of singletrack to a spectacular gorge. From here you'll have a gentle ride to the gite 10km outside Amizmiz where the day will end in Ait Zitoun village and a traditional hammam after a long ride.
